Armand M. Biscontini of Frankfort, KY passed away Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was born in Old Forge, PA, the son of the late Anthonyand Rose Gavazzi Biscontini. Armand was a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of the University of Scranton and George Washington University. He served as a teacher, vice principal, and principal during his distinguished career in education. He also served as Director of Accreditation for Kentucky’s Department of Education. Armand is survived by his wife of thirty-one years, Dana; stepson Daniel G. Yeast and his wife Tara of Somerset; and his beloved grandchildren, Maxton and Catherine Yeast of Somerset. He is also survived by his sister Helen Artabane of Old Forge, PA. Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers Funeral Home with visitation at 10 a.m. preceding the funeral. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, where military graveside honors will be conducted.
