We're so very sorry about the passing of Mrs. Kathryn. My daughter (Katherine) has the pleasure of sitting with Mrs. Kathryn a few years ago. She loved her dearly. She said one day she was trying to help & Mrs. Kathryn said Miss Katherine if I need help I'll let you know. I have to do everything I can for myself as long as I can. I have you here to have fun, talk to me & keep me company! Pam (Triplett) Gene Cloyd, Katherine Smith, John Triplett and all our family.

Kathryn was part of my family. When I lived next door we visited often and talked every day on the phone. When I moved to Eastern Ky to the farm we still kept in touch by phone. She came to the farm for the afternoon not too long after I moved. On the way back to Frankfort we had to stop by the roadside to pick up a “Keaton rock” for her flower bed. I will miss her.

I adored you Miss Kathryn. I could sit and listen to you tell stories for hours. Miss Kathryn I will truly miss you. You were just as stubborn as me and we laughed at the same things. You raised a wonderful son and you did such a good job that I'm proud to call him my best friend. You are really something, a special lady and you will always be in my heart.

Aunt Kathryn always had a beautiful smile. She smiled even when she was sick or in pain, and downplayed any of her own woes. She prayed her rosary and attended mass for years, and we all sat in the back row on the Saint Joseph side of church, she was our anchor. She focused on everyone else in the family, not herself. Kathryn Slattery was a hard worker, she never stopped going and didn’t allow herself time to rest, I never saw her sit down with us, she was always waiting on people when we visited. She worked hard on their farm out in Bald Knob & also on Stedmantown Lane. That might be why she stayed healthy for so long, she loved nature and all God’s creation, a natural sweet lady. She always had a common sense, stable, logical and reassuring attitude. Aunt Kathryn was always someone who could calm worries, assuage fears, and make everything better. If you talked with Aunt Kathryn, you automatically felt better about any trouble you had. She cared about everyone, & her calm demeanor and beautiful, smiling, gentle soul will be greatly missed by all of us in the Peluso and Moretti families.
