I am sad to learn of Russ' passing, although I know he is in God's palace and reunited with his bride Carole. I worked with Russ and the YMCA in Flora for a couple of years and enjoyed so many conversations with Russ. He had so many stories to tell of his long life and all the experiences he had along the way. He always spoke so highly of his bride Carole and was so proud of his son Steve and gifted me a CD of Steve's "Music for the Soul". Russ even shared with me that he was writing a book after his employment at the YMCA and that there was a female character in it based on myself. Russ and Carole welcomed me into their home a couple of times, shared a meal with me, and I will cherish the memories I have of our relationship. My condolences to Steve and family.

I am so sorry to hear this. I loved talking to him when he would come to shop in the IGA in Flora Indiana
