Lois will always have a special place in my heart. As a young boy, Lois tolerated my daily visits while my mom napped. Lois and Edgar were like my second set of parents. I loved our visits, and of course, the home-brewed iced tea she loved to make. My heart was broken when they moved to Glencoe, Ky. When I was old enough to make the drive down from Price Hill, I tried to visit as often as I could. May you rest in peace.
I have so many wonderful memories of our time together.These picture's was taken on her birthday and oh did we celebrate. .Flowers,picture's her favorite meal "beans and corn bread",cherry delight for dessert.

Aunt Lois was so sweet to my brother and I even when we broke her couch wrestling. One of many things we probably destroyed as little hellions. A kind heart and soul that will be missed in this world.
I will retell the Story that Aunt Lois loved to tell. I would visit my extended family on my way home almost daily. I would get to her house before my older cousins got home as school was just down the street. I loved to play on her basement pool table. So much that i became very good . So much so, that Dwayne and Mike really didn't enjoy playing. I begged / goaded Aunt Lois over and over (in the Duvall way) to play the Champ". She eventually tired of a 10 year old's insistance. I was so happy i as promised gave her the break....nothing happened on her break, but on my turn an errant bounce from my cue SANK THE 8 BALL!! In true Lois fashion, she would never play me again. Now 60 years later LOIS was and always will be my Champion.
I remember when Aunt Lois was living with Grandma Irma Anderson and I would go over some Saturdays to help take care of them. Grandma would want coffee but Aunt Lois wanted tea. I would get them to the breakfast table and then the fight was on…your hair looks terrible one would say and then the other would say mine doesn’t look as bad as yours…they would laugh really hard for a few minutes…take a drink and then the same fight would happen all over again for quit a while until it was time to get dressed and comb hair…Loved these ladies very much and miss them!!!
I remember Aunt Lois and Uncle Edgar fondly. They had basenji pups and we got one, Chico, and then they got one from our litter, Nico. I remember playing at the house in Cincinnati and then always going to see Aunt Lois when she moved to Glencoe and was so close to Grandma. They had a mud pit where they were going to put a pool in and Rachel and I decided to mud wrestle. Aunt Lois always encouraged shenanigans. As an adult I enjoyed somber conversations and always felt loved. Prayers for the Towles family during this time of mourning.
Lois was a fine Christian woman. I remember her & Edgar working in Bible School at Pleasant Home Baptist Church. After Edgar went home to be with the Lord & Lois moved in with Irma, her sister I had a wonderful time visiting with both sisters. Ron & I loved the whole family! What a great reunion day they are having in heaven. My prayers are with all the family now & during the days to come. I wish I was able to come , but I have just had some surgery today so not sure I will be able to make it. I’m praying our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ surrounds them with his love bringing peace as only he can do. Love in Christ, Diana Garvey
