James F. McElmurray, 93, of Frankfort, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. He was born in Frankfort on January 31, 1920, to W.F. and Annie Philipps McElmurray. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a retired state Department of Fish and Wildlife employee, and an active member of Crestwood Baptist Church. Surviving him are twin daughters, Sherri (Barry) Young and Terri (Tom) Runyon; a son, James T. McElmurray; a grandson, Mark (Hollie) McElmurray; and, a great grandson, Sebastian Alexander McElmurray, along with numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Daphine Howell. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 3, at Crestwood Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at the church on Tuesday, June 4, at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
