Louise Neale Lee, a beloved child of God, passed to her new life at the home of her beloved daughter Amy (Jeri) McGurk and son-in-law, James McGurk in Frankfort, Ky. Louise was born on Jan. 2, 1915, in Marion, N.C., the daughter of the late Selden C. and Amie Bomar Roberts. Louise moved to Kingsport, with her first husband, Duward (Dee) Neale, where together they owed and operated Little Store Bakery and Oakwood Bakery. Louise actively participated and held office in many civic organizations, including Past President of Optimus, Treasurer of the Republican Women's Club, the Women of the Moose, and P.E.O. Louise was a long-standing member of Oakwood Forest Chirstian Church in Kingsport. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, James Duward (Dee) Neale; her second husband, James (Buck) Lee; her beloved son, Edwin B. Neale Sr; two sisters, Isabelle Whitaker and Pat Free; two brothers, Selden Jr. and Richard; a son-in-law, Jack Duff; a grandson-in-law, David Lyle; and a great-great-granddaughter, Addison Tate. Louise is survived by her daughter, Amy (Jeri) McGurk and husband Jim; daughter-in-law Marian Neale; grandchildren Susan (Mike) Jones, Mike (Melinda) Davis, Edwin B. Neale Jr, Dede Lyle, Jeff (Lori) Davis, Lori (Don) Nangle, and Amy (Kevin) Duffy; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and other family members, Jason Robinson, Dede Hash, and Donna Hash. Graveside services will be held in the Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
