Lois Sutherland Ueltschi, 77, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at her home. Born in Frankfort on September 9, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Harris Sutherland. A graduate of Frankfort High School, Lois was retired after 41 years of work with the Ky. Transportation Cabinet. She was a member of the Capital Steppers at the Senior Activity Center and always enjoyed watching the First Christian Church service on Cable 10, rarely, if ever, missing a Sunday. Lois is survived by two sons, Kent Ueltschi (Martha) and Todd Ueltschi (Krystal); three sisters, Patsy Wheeler, Jane Linskie, and Sharon Kaechele; two brothers, William Sutherland and Donnie Sutherland; three grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick, and Quinton; and three-step-grandchildren, Paige, Kameron, and Kirsten. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald "Ronnie" Ueltschi; her long-time partner, Ralph Quarles; two sisters, Mary Tate and Freda Dickson; and a brother, James Sutherland. Lois's family would like to extend a special thanks to her long-time friend Donna Payton, niece Kimberly Asher, and Hospice of the Bluegrass for their care and support. Services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Gene Chapman of the Lawrenceburg Trinity Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Donnie Sutherland, Ben Ueltschi, Ashley "Tip" Mixson, Pete McDonald, Andy Cheshire, and Don Linskie. Contributions in Lois's memory may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, L.I.F.E. House for Animals, or the Franklin County Humane Society.
