What a beautiful person. A true lady. A thoughtful soul. A child of God Almighty!
There was one Christmas, years ago. I was single and the holiday season was so difficult to navigate. I hadn't known Joni all that long at that point. She gifted me a red scarf/wrap. A simple gesture....but it meant so much!! It demonstrated her hearing from God that I needed to be loved. I use it all the time in the winter months and it feels like a warm hug from a beautiful friend.
I know she is side by side with Jesus, sharing her joy and fun laughter (where her eyes would squinch up n sparkle!!)...
John, thank you for being such a wonderful support n her biggest cheerleader!! Your kindness and love of her allowed her to blossom into a friend--to everyone who needed one.
I am one whose life she impacted, and I'm so grateful to have known Joni.
Her presence is deeply missed here, but we have a hope... we know where she is, and how we can visit once again.
Love, Jenni Bowman

John, Justin, and all those affected by Joni's graduation to Heaven:
I send my love, sympathy, and hugs. Joni was such a giver and encouraged me often. Joni gave so willingly of herself. She was a God-send to me in a time of need, and was gracious each time she drove me to church. Her gifts and talents were vast, and her love for Christ was deep. I always enjoyed her company, and her void was difficult to fill when we were no longer connected through our church. Joni and I spent a lot of time together as she inspired a gift I wanted to give my Pastor. I had typed all of the prophecies he had given and I told Joni. She had an idea on how to present them as a gift, and it was a beautiful presentation to my/our pastor. It would not have been possible without Joni's creative energy, love, and devotion to the project. Joni and I have a LOT of catching up to do, but our reunion will have to wait.
I am reminded of Joni EVERY TIME I walk into my home because she blessed me with so much, and two pieces sit on my landing, and have for years. I will cherish every single memory I made with Joni and John, and I'm thankful I had the opportunity to know both of you. Justin, I've been a prayer warrior for you (at your mother's request), and I feel like I know you because your mom spoke highly of you often. May God surround all of you with His big loving arms of comfort; but rejoice because there is NO DOUBT she is with her Lord and Savior, as well as Almighty God, Himself. I send my love and prayers for comfort and peace for the days ahead.

My greatest memory of Joni, whom I was dearest friends for almost 40 years, was that about 20 years ago I got to lead Joni to making Jesus Christ the Lord & Savior of her life (Being Born Again) and baptized in the Holy Ghost, gloriously speaking in tongues!! Joni, we get to spend eternity together having fun with Jesus!! I just know she has one huge room in her mansion just for earrings!!!

I loved the way Joni loved my friend, John. We laughed about how our middle names were spelled the same. Joni was loved by everyone. She brought a light to this world
