Today is Tuesday! I'm missing my Tuesday chats with Becky. We have been friends since we were 18 months old documented in a scrapbook by a picture of Becky in my front yard on Beechwood Avenue labeled August 1953. Our parents were friends. Our dads played on Good Shepherd High School basketball team in the 1940s. After our parents were married around 1950 they moved into the Crestwood Subdivision. Becky and I walked up and down East Main Street or through the neighborhood to play at each others houses. We went to Peter Pan Kindergarten in Mrs. Crittenden's house in the neighborhood at age 4. Started 1st grade at Good Shepherd School through 12th grade and graduated of Good Shepherd High School in 1969. We had some good times through the years growing up in Frankfort. How many times did we ride around Frisch's?! Even though we went our separate ways after high school graduation we stayed in touch. Our mothers kept us connected and Yagel Hardware. She worked as a cashier as a side job for many years. She would show up, tell the truth, did her best and paid attention. Not much got past Becky at the cash register at Yagel Hardware. My Mom in her 90s gave her a letter of recommendation; "Becky was good help and smart." She got the job! Becky was part of the Yagel family during the happy times and offered her love and support in the sad times. Found out the day before she died from George IV, our middle son, Edward, our 1st born, had a connection with Becky. He thought she was funny and she thought he was funny. Our youngest, Charles, 38, thought she was sweet always interested in his business and how he was doing. She liked seeing pictures of our granddaughters and asked about them by name. I will miss her love and support. It's tough losing her. Rest in peace, Becky.

Very sorry to read of Becky's passing. My brother Dirk recently asked me about Becky so we are both sad to learn of her death. Sympathies to the family. I have many fond memories of Becky at GSS. She was one of the upperclassmen who was willing to drive us younger ones around and we all had large fun together. And in more recent history, she was part of group of Good Shepherd ladies who liked to play canasta, including my mother. RIP, Becky.

Becky was always kind to my sons and grandson. We knew her many years at Good Shepherd Church, and our families knew each other, she was half Italian and so am I. She worked at Paul Sawyier Public Library after she retired, and she would help us at the library and always remembered my boys’ names and each of their interests. There was never a time when she didn’t say hello and say something amusing or spend time talking with Justin or Johnnie or Little Ray. I will miss seeing Becky on Saturday afternoons before mass, she would get there early and several of us ladies would talk. She was so good. Surely choirs of angels have led Becky to paradise. My deep condolences to all the family.

Best friend's from age 6 to 74. Traveled down many roads together.
From Saint Louis, to Grand Rapids to Hubers in Indiana to pick strawberries. Always fun...sure will miss my traveling buddy.
I had a new car in 1980. Becky and I left Frankfort, gone 1 week and put 5000 miles on my new car. Stayed a weekend with my aunt and uncle in Canada. Took the long way home all the way down the east coast. What a great time.
