Obituary of Odell Hardy

Odell Hardy, 84, passed away December 2, 2025. Born in Union, South Carolina on November 27, 1941, Odell was retired from Kentucky State University where he was part of the maintenance crew and a bus driver for the students on out-of-town trips. He attended church in Franklin County for many years as a member of the Apostolic Church of Christ faith. Odell was a family man and raised two sons with his late wife Mary A. Morton Hardy. He loved fishing and gardening. A resident of Franklin County for over 55 years and a friend to many, people recognized him wherever he went. Odell is survived by his sons Timothy S. Hardy and Odell Hardy, Jr. (wife Luana); sister Ruby Davis; brother J.C. Hardy; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Essie Mae Hardy and his brother Robert Hardy. The family will hold services at a later date.
