Josephine Ann "Jo Ann" Schroff Mattingly, 85, passed away on January 6, 2026.
Jo Ann was born in Frankfort on February 12, 1940, and remained there for her entire life, graduating from Good Shepherd School and working at the Paul Sawyier Public Library. She was a lifelong member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and was a lover of books, flowers, and birds, and her greatest love and enjoyment was found in taking care of her family.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband Charles Donald "Don" Mattingly in January of 2024. She was also preceded by her parents Joseph and Louise Sutterlin Schroff, sister Agnes Cheshire, and brother Charlie Schroff.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles D. Mattingly, Jr. and Frederick J. Mattingly, and her sister Sissie Crittenden.
A graveside service will be held in the Frankfort Cemetery at 11:00 am Monday, January 12th. (Please stop at the front office and wait for the procession.) Visitation will precede the service at Rogers Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jo Ann's memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
