Obituary of Stewart Miller

Stewart Miller, age 71, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Frankfort, Kentucky. He was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky on December 27, 1954, to the late Samuel Miller and Jean Loraine Miller. Stewart was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he earned a National Defense Medal and Rifle Expert Badge. Stewart spent many years working with the United States Postal Service before retiring. Anyone who got to know Stewart quickly found out his passion for playing the guitar. He also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. He was known for his kindness, quick wit and love of being around people. Stewart could often be found enjoying good times with friends and sharing stories that brought laughter to everyone around him. In his younger days, Stewart loved playing basketball and softball. In addition to his late parents, Stewart was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Miller and sister, Mary Alice Miller. He is survived by his children Yonna Heady (Chris), Andrew Miller, and Kimberly Miller; sisters Joyce Foster and Janie Fender; grandchildren Trinity Williams, Noah Heady, Chloe Miller, and Carter Miller; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with Stewart’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
