CYNTHIA HUGHES Cynthia Baker Hughes, 68, of Shelbyville, KY passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on April 23, 1957, Cynthia lived a life centered on compassion, family, and service to others. She dedicated over 30 years of her career as a Mother-Baby Nurse at Baptist Health Louisville, where she cared for countless families with kindness, skill, and a gentle selfless spirit that left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Cynthia was a devoted wife to her husband, Robert Hughes, and a loving mother to her daughters, Whitney Hughes (Jared Hughes) and Erin Hollinden (TJ Hollinden). Her greatest joy was being “Cici” to Parker and Colin Hughes, Paige, Carter, and Kyson Hollinden. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and created memories that will be treasured forever. She also found comfort and companionship in her beloved dog, Piper, whom she adored. Cynthia will be remembered for her nurturing heart, her dedication to her family, and the warmth she shared so freely with others. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched both personally and professionally. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.
