Obituary of Travis Blackburn
Travis Shane Blackburn of Frankfort, Ky. was born in Pikeville, Ky. on November 13th 1983, and passed away April 11th, 2019 at the age of 35.
Travis was much loved and cared for by those he left behind, including his parents Randy & Joan Blackburn, daughter Violet Amanda Blackburn-Young, brother Levi Blackburn, and fiancé Pascha Hanner as well as his uncle & aunt David & Sherree Empson, cousins Emily (Robby) Empson Drayne & Jenny Empson, uncle Kevin and aunt Lexy Hunt, cousins Mercedes, Sarah & Isabela, uncle Michael Hunt, grandmother Opal Hunt, aunt Pamela Webb, cousins Stevie Nicole Webb, Justin Webb, Daniel Blackburn, and April Blackburn and many other family members and friends.
He loved his family wholeheartedly. His great loves in life were his fiancé Pascha and and his daughter Violet and he treasured the time he had with them.
Travis loved sports, especially UK basketball and the Dallas Cowboys.
We will miss you everyday, Travis. You left us way too early. We look forward to that day when we see you again; where there will be no more pain, no more tears, no more sorrows, as we worship The LORD in the beauty of HIS holiness. To GOD alone be the glory!
Services will be held at Buck Run Baptist Church at 12:00 pm Tuesday. Visitation will be at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday and 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Tuesday. Dr. Hershael York will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Levi Blackburn, Benjamin Hall, Clinton Hall, Jordan Hall, Jonathan Scott, and Wes Mitchell.
Honorary bearers will be Robby Drayne, Bobby Hall, Dennis Luhrs, David Empson, and Kevin Hunt.
