All of you have my sincere condolence on your loss of Jean. It just breaks our heart when death separates us from our loved ones. Their life on earth is over as far as we know and it hurts way down deep inside. We love them and miss them and would love to see them again…. The All Powerful God of the Holy Bible understands this and offers us comfort. 2Corinthians 1:3, 4 says: “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.” This wonderful God of comfort sees our distress and pain and has promised that soon everything associated with death will be done away with. Isaiah 25:8 says: “He (Almighty God) will swallow up death forever,….”. And Revelation 21:4 promises: " And he (Almighty God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”.... We know these promise apply to us here on earth because there never has been, nor will there ever be death in heaven. Yes Almighty God will heal our broken hearts by permanently doing away with death on earth. Furthermore, Almighty God will add to our comfort by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again. A resurrection to life here on earth so we can be with our loved ones once again…. (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15; John 6:40) It is my hope that you will reflect on these comforting scriptural promises from the Almighty, Trustworthy "God, who cannot lie," (Titus 1:2) as you face the days ahead.
