I know I am very belated in this tribute, but hadn’t thought about Mr. Guttermuth in years. Not because he wasn’t memorable, but just simply because my experience with him was so far removed in time. I was a lab assistant for him in undergrad at Walsh College, now Walsh University. He was the best!!
I thought of him as I was talking with my daughter about her senior year scheduling and bio was one of the classes up for discussion. I recalled such found memories. He was one of the brightest men I had met and that time, and now that I am in my late 50s, he still is. He had a passion for bio and teaching and as his lab assistant I believe I had the privilege of seeing a different side of him that most of his students didn’t always get to see.
Until we meet again, God speed Mr. Guthermuth

Miss you so much, I could always count on you for a good laugh! What a great friend you were. Think of you daily. I know how you loved Starbucks white choc mocha. I’ll always remember the good memories we had, Brenda

Met Conrad several years ago while his mother and my mother were patients in a Nursing Home in Lexington. He was a very interesting person. I live in Frankfort but own a place in Bald Knob. Would see him often at what was then Wrights Grocery. When the Covid 19 pandemic hit I did not stop very often. The folks that run the grocery now are very nice people. Dan used to tell me when I would stop in that Conrad had asked about me!
I will certainly miss Conrad. He was a good man in all respects. Condolences are extended to all his family and friends.

Conrad and I graduated from Frankfort High School, Class of 1960. He was always a gentleman and a gentle man. He often visited my husband’s cousin, Ed Farris, who lived on Ewing Street during Ed’s declining years bringing a ray of sunshine into lonely days. Our prayers to Conrad’s family as you celebrate a life well-lived and a life well-loved.
