I had the privilege of working with Phyllis at the Ky Chamber of Commerce for a few years. She always had a smile and always made me smile. We shared our birthday and said we only got one-half year older during that time. She was a light in sometimes this dark world. See you later my friend.

We were fortunate enough not only to know her, but enjoy, learn from, depend on, and love. Phyllis dearly. I worked closely with Phyllis when she was at LRC with Vic Hellard. She was a great asset wherever she decided to be. Very intelligent and admired by many.. When she married my mentor and great friend Herb Liebman, the four of us enjoyed many pleasurable hours solving the problems of the world??? May she rest in peace. Hank &Ann Hancock

I worked for Phyllis' aunt and with her mother and father at the Beattyville Enterprise/Jackson Times in the mid-1980s. Her parents were two of my most favorite people in the world. I know they were proud of her accomplishments, but I did not realize just how much she'd accomplished until I saw her obituary. I do know that she provided a blessing to my family. She got my brother an internship at IBM in 1985. It was about that time that my mother was diagnosed with cancer and began treatments in Lexington. One of the treatments made her very ill. With my brother having an apartment in Lexington because of that internship, my parents could stay in Lexington when the treatments made my mom too ill to travel the 90 minutes back home. My sympathy certainly goes out to her family. She was a special lady.

Phyllis was such an amazing woman! She was the flower girl at my parents wedding in 1949 and, according to my parents, helped them learn the "parenting ropes" by spending time with her. They always looked forward to time with her in Oak Ridge, Brookfield and Hilton Head. I have too many memories of her to count! I was thrilled to see her and Herb standing at the back of the church (she said they got there just in time) when I got married in 1990. She was much loved and will be dearly missed by everyone. Much love to all the family.
