Voleta Ruth Gregory, 94, passed away on March 29, 2023.
Voleta was born in Frankfort on August 18, 1928 to the late Jesse Francis Moore, Sr. and Laura Bell Moore. She graduated from Elkhorn School and was a homemaker and a proofreader for The State Journal, and then worked in a school cafeteria until her retirement. Baptized at Indian Creek Church in Cynthiana, she was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort. Voleta loved travelling, antiques, puzzles, playing cards, crocheting, sewing, and cooking.
Voleta is survived by a daughter, Laura Ruth Gregory Gregg (Bob); a daughter-in-law, Jean Gregory Henning; five grandchildren, Allyson McMillin, Heather Lynd (Greg), Courtnie Coulson (Greg), Kinzie Gaunce (Wes), and Abby Stover (Jarad); and eight great-grandchildren, Caroline, Keefer, Locke, Jesse, Molly, Hank, Natalie, and Jack.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse R. Gregory, her son, Daniel Rolland Gregory, and her brother, Jesse Francis Moore, Jr.
A graveside service will be held in the Frankfort Cemetery at 11:00 am on Friday, March 31st.
