Obituary of Alice Hobson

Alice Wilson Hobson passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on May 21, 2024 at the age of 71. Alice was born to Mary Alice Kerr Hobson and Charles Lee Hobson on November 26, 1952, and spent her childhood in Frankfort. She worked at legal libraries in Detroit, Michigan and Anchorage, Alaska before settling back in Frankfort as her father's "number two" at his law firm. From the 1990s until 2017, she worked for the Legislative Research Commission. A member of Buck Run Baptist Church, she enjoyed mission trips and always looked forward to teaching Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was proud to be the last in her family lineage to be such. She loved to travel and saw much of the world, taking her brother along on many of her adventures. Alice loved life and people, and was loved by many. She is survived by her brother Joe Hobson; numerous cousins; and special friends Pamela and Paul Hogan, Sheila Bottoms, and Linda Miller. Services will be held at Buck Run Baptist Church at 12:00 pm Tuesday with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery. The family requests that contributions in Alice's memory be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice) or Buck Run Baptist Church.
