Obituary of Bobby Manley, Jr.

Bobby G. Manley, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on July 9, 2024 at the age of 29. Bobby was born in Frankfort on September 1, 1994 and was a 2014 graduate of Frankfort High School. He was baptized in Christ and was a firm believer in the Lord, and loved his family greatly. He especially appreciated holidays and spending time with his Nanny. He spent some time working for a tree service company, and in his down time he enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friends, gambling, riding horses, and playing paintball. Bobby will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents Bobby Manley, Sr. And Tammy Ricketts (Troy); sisters C. Robyn Cook (Joe) and Laura Jean Manley; brother C. Jacob Ricketts; grandmother Janice Poindexter; and grandfathers Lowell Mitchell, Sr. and Roy “Kakaw” Ricketts. Survivors also include a special niece, Josie Cook; two special nephews, Damien and Kendrick Chadwell; a great-nephew, Dexon Chadwell; his lifelong best friend, Joseph Stewart; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather JW “John” Poindexter and his grandmother Thelma “Cricket” Manley. A service in celebration and remembrance of Bobby’s life will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Monday, July 15th. Bro. William Palmer and Bro. Eddie Mitchell will officiate the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, July 14th from 2:00 to 7:00 pm and on Monday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be Joesph Stewart, Nathan Sutherland, Damien Linville, Lowell “Snooter” Mitchell, Jr., Shane Sams, Cameron Fugate, Nathaniel Ballinger, Jr., John Wooldridge, Jr., and Steven Day.
