Obituary of Jim Hefling

Jim Hefling, beloved husband of Carol and revered father of Michael, passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 68. He was a dedicated and loving husband, dad, grandpa, and Papa. His quiet nature exuded more love and care and spoke more volume than any force could ever impart. His greatest joys were spending time with his wife, watching UK games with his son, and sharing all the moments he could with his grandchildren. Jim will be greatly missed by his life-long love Carol, his son Michael and daughter-in-law Lisa, and his three grandchildren, Kirsten, Zoe, and James. He also leaves behind his sister Robyn, and many loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Barbara Urbas, and his sister Michelle. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, December 4 from 2-4 p.m at Capital City Christian Church located at 15 Locust Drive in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Capital City Christian Church or the Frankfort Food Pantry.
