Kenneth Gardner Wingate, husband of Jane Parker Wingate, passed away on December 6, 2024 at the age of 79.
Born in Frankfort on February 16, 1945, he was a graduate of Franklin County High School and attended the University of Kentucky, and went on to work as a salesman for slot machines, tool and die, and insurance. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and collecting knives and coins.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Jane; children Alicia Christine Wingate and Craig Allen Wingate; step-children Allison Paige Federspiel and Jeffery Douglas Edwards; grandchildren Lauren Elizabeth Wingate and Wren Allyn Carter; and step-grandchildren Mackenzie Lee Federspiel and Haley Catherine Federspiel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lida Elizabeth Durell (step-father James Sherman Durell) and Bruce Harold Wingate.
The family will hold private services.
