The first time I moved to Kentucky, I had a lot to learn. Don recognized this and saw it as his job to make sure that I learned how to take care of myself--or at least my car! I remember him teaching me how to change the oil on my car. When I needed a metric wrench, he immediately found one and gave it to me so I was prepared (and I used it, too!). One evening, he took me for a boat ride on the river in town. Imagine my shock when I saw a bloated animal (cow?) head floating on the river...I don't recall ever seeing that in Ontonagon! Don's smile and twinkle in his eyes were always welcoming. He will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Penegor family.
