Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frances George Rodman, 78, wife of Edmund Berry Rodman, III, passed away Monday evening in the Taylor Manor Nursing Home in Versailles.
Born in Collinsville, Mississippi on October 8, 1934, Mrs. Rodman was the daughter of the late Lewis and Jewel Jackson George. A graduate of the Mississippi State College for Women, she taught elementary school and worked as a nurse's aide. Most of her life she dedicated her time to her family as a caring wife, mother and homemaker. Before moving to Frankfort, she also lived in Jupiter, Florida and Ellington, Connecticut. Mrs. Rodman was an active member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, served as President of the Jupiter Jaycees Wives, and was a member of the Women of the Church and the Marian Movement of Priests Cenacle. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She had a sincere love for Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary and a particular interest in special devotions of the Rosary, Marian Apparitions, Divine Mercy, and Eucharistic Adoration. She shared her love with all who knew her.
Mrs. Rodman was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Shaw and Hazel Lansing; and a brother, Sam George. She is survived by her sister Wilda McConaughy and her brother Lewis George.
She is also survived by three daughters, Kathryn Walker, Wilda Laughlin, and Maria Jaminet; and nine granddaughters, Elizabeth, Maria, Katie, Bernadette, Veronica, Theresa, Lily, Eleanor, and Mercy.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. Friday with interment following in the Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Friday.
Flowers are welcome, while the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Rodman's memory be made to the Good Shepherd School Scholarship Fund.
