Obituary of Ruby Ann Merchant

Ruby Ann Merchant passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2013. A native of Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ruby Cochran Ellis.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, VFW Post 4075 Women's Auxiliary, the Frankfort Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters and Sons of the Union Army, and the Kentucky Colonels.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Merchant (Anne Merchant) and David Merchant (Annette Merchant); five grandchildren, Joseph Merchant, Sandi Merchant, Tyler Merchant, Colby Merchant, and Bradley Merchant; and one great-granddaughter, Emelyn Teagan Merchant.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Merchant's sons and grandsons.
Dr. Chuck Queen will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held in Rogers Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
