Gerald D. Wethington, 78, passed away Tuesday evening at his home in Lawrenceburg. Born in Bradfordsville on March 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Jackson Cephus (J.C.) and Verna Lee Atwood Wethington, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Mason, and two brothers, Kirby Buck and Ewell Wethington. Mr. Wethington is survived by three daughters, Sharon Lee Hill (Ronnie), Vivian Ann Richmond (Jonathan), and Donna Carpenter; two sisters, Betty Jean Wright and Lucille Games; two sons, Lloyd Wethington and Jerry Dwayne Wethington; 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Following his high school graduation, he served in both the Marines and the Navy prior to spending over 30 years as a Wildlife Aide for the Ky. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife. A long-time Frankfort resident, he loved fishing, hunting, clogging, and attending Native American Pow Wows, but above all he was a devoted family man. Services for Mr. Wethington will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in Rogers Funeral Home, followed by interment in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Rogers from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
