LARRY MCPHERRON Bro. Larry Eugene McPherron, 60, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center in Lexington. Born in Cincinnati on October 27, 1953, Larry was the son of the late Harold Eugene and Polly Ann Wallace McPherron. He is survived by a daughter, Christie McPherron; two sons, William McPherron and Mark Fultz; six sisters, Kathy Nivison, Stella Shaver, Sue Lay, Genny McPherron, Jewel Gregory, and Lena Wallace; one brother, Clarence Jennings; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Jennings and Hobert Jennings. Larry was a member and Associate Pastor at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and had worked at Auto Zone, Frankfort Plastics, and General Electric. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Services will be held in the North Frankfort Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18th, with burial following in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Ed Nivison, Marcus Wilson, Matt Bishop, Markel Bixler, Scotty Foley, and Jared Gipson. Cameron McPherron will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Flowers are welcomed, while the family suggests any contributions in Larry's memory be made to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, 1500 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502.
