Julia Triplett Hamrick, 96, wife of the late William Edward Hamrick, passed away early Wednesday morning. Born in Frankfort on November 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie Phillips Triplett. Mrs. Hamrick was a graduate of Frankfort High School and was retired from the Ky. Dept. of Motor Vehicles. She was a long-time active member of the Thornhill Baptist Church. Mrs. Hamrick is survived by a son, Donald Hamrick; a sister, Evelyn Horn; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Georgann Whitfield, two sisters, and four brothers. Services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friday with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service in the Frankfort Cemetery. Rev. William Hartung will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jim Ellis, Donald Sturgeon, Charles Smith, Ben Harp, Fred Goins, Brad Ennis, and Fred Gooding. Flowers are welcomed, while contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Hamrick's daughter.
