A Life Celebration Service for Jerry W. Lykins, 70, will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Lykins passed away late Monday evening at his home.
Born in Springfield on September 13, 1942, he was the son of the late Boyd and Addie Devine Lykins. A graduate of Harrodsburg High School and the University of Kentucky, he was an Air Force veteran and retired as an accountant for the University of Kentucky Physical Plant.
Mr. Lykins is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Kay) Davis Lykins; three daughters, Ann-Michelle Lykins of Lexington, Monica Lykins of Nicholasville, and Kathy Doyle (Mike) of Frankfort; a son, Jim Tincher (Ruth) of Frankfort; two brothers, Bob Lykins (Betty) and Ben Lykins (Diana), both of Danville; grandchildren Katy and David Doyle and Matt Tincher, all of Frankfort, and Kayla Flatter of Nicholasville; nieces and nephews Chance Lykins (Callie) of Pennsylvania, Deana Lilo (Pete) and great-niece Addie of New Jersey, Lisa Lykins (Phil) of Georgetown, and Julie, Max, and Alex Venables of Danville; and extended family Tom, Susan, Lindsay, Taylor, and Evan Goddard; Mike, Jayne, Zack, Andrew, and Sean Goddard; and Kurt, Paxton, Amy, and Tristan Fiegel.
Visitation will be at Rogers from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday.
