Obituary of Glenna Joyce Clark

Glenna Joyce Clark February 13, 1938 – August 24, 2015 Glenna Joyce Clark, 77, of Frankfort, Kentucky, went to be with her Lord on August 24, 2015. Family received friends on Saturday, August 29th at Hillier Funeral Home in College Station, Texas. An interment service will be held on Saturday, September 5th at 2:00 pm in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky. Glenna was born on February 13, 1938 to Harry Glenn Young and Lucy (Nicholson) Young in Frankfort, Kentucky. She graduated from Frankfort High School. Soon after, at age 17, she married the love of her life, Billy Edward Clark. They were happily married for 52 years. Glenna loved above all to spend time with her family. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, bird watching, movies, and bowling. Glenna loved country drives, whether it was to look at bluebonnets in the spring or the leaves in the fall. Even though she grew up as a city girl, she enjoyed her later life in the country sitting on the front porch drinking coffee and watching the cows. She was a Kentucky basketball and Texas Longhorn enthusiast. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Billy Edward Clark; parents Harry Glenn and Lucy Young; brother Donnie Young; sister Brenda Rudder; and granddaughter Lillian Joyce Clark. Glenna leaves behind children Julie Garcia and husband Randy, Jennifer Atkins and husband Andy, Jeffrey Clark and wife Janice, and Jason Clark and wife Karen; sibling Linda Curtin; grandchildren Michael Garcia, Sarah Atkins, Ashley Atkins, Nicole Clark, Billy Clark, Bobby Clark, and Beau Clark; and many other loving family members and friends. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers at the Isle of Watercrest over the years; especially Janetta, Crystal, and Mimi. In addition they would also like to thank Kim Johnson, Janet Filla, Brenda Pitre, and Hannah Strain.
