Obituary of Geraldine T. Street

Geraldine Tincher Street, 80, widow of James Allen Street, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015.
Born in Frankfort on March 25, 1935, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Henry Algin and Mabel Stewart Sharp Tincher. She received a Bachelor of Arts in French Education and had lived in Raleigh and Charlotte, NC as well as Brussels, Belgium. She taught French at the high school level and worked in real estate, and was a member of the Church of the Ascension as well as an avid painter, weaver, spinner, and harp player.
Geraldine is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Street Counts (David); three sisters, Rose T. Tomlinson (John), Bonnie T. Alley (Don), and Henrietta T. Evans (Robert); three grandchildren, Melissa Ellyn Counts, Reed James Francis Counts, and Logan John Schaaf; and one great-grandson, Elijah Mark Neuhaus. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Street Schaaf; and a brother, Timothy Neil Tincher.
Services will be held at the Church of the Ascension at 1:00 p.m. Friday with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Logan Schaaf, Reed Counts, Jim Shelby, Ben Gaertner, John Andrew Tomlinson, and Joseph Liebman.
