Obituary of Joan H. Riehl

Joan H. Riehl, widow of Stuart J. Riehl, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Joan was born April 4, 1931 in Louisville, Ky. to the late Albert and Christine Harrison.
Surviving Joan are are her three daughters, Patti (Jon) Grim, Sara (Carlos "Buddy") Gibson of Chesterfield, Va., and Barbara (Paul) Comley; her grandchildren, Lauren Webb (Trey Waddle), Katie Grim of Houston, Texas, Chris Comley of Miamisburg, Oh., and Katlyn Comley of Lexington, Ky. Also surviving Joan are her two sister, Tish (the late Ken) Kiely and Sally (Phil) Hasselwander.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her two sons, Michael J. Riehl and John S. Riehl; her great-grandson, Cameron L. Quinn; and her brother, Jack Harrison.
Joan enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbors, getting together with family, and meeting bi-monthly with her college classmates "the girls".
To honor Joan's memory, pallbearers will be her nephews, Greg Riehl, Jimmy Riehl, Scott Riehl, Marc Riehl, Ted Riehl, and Michael Riehl.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Rogers Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment services will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
