James Lyman "Jimmy" Karsner passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the age of 79.
Born in Franklin County on April 2, 1936, Jimmy was the son of the late William Thomas and Anna Bessie Emerson Karsner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Dickey Karsner; and a brother, Donnie Karsner.
Jimmy is survived by two daughters, Debbie Karsner Peterson and Cherie Karsner Allen; a son, Jay Karsner; a sister, Margaret Karsner; four brothers, Bill Karsner, Glenn Karsner, Tom Karsner, and Joe Karsner; a grandchild, C.J. Peterson; and his long-time special friend Sue Carol Blakeman.
A memorial service will be held in the Calvary Baptist Church at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with visitation preceding at 5:00 p.m. Dr. Billy Betts will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jimmy's memory are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
