Christopher “Cous” Doyle
On March 12, 2016, after a recent illness, Cous left this earth much too early at the age of 36. He was proceeded in death by his father, Patrick Doyle originally from Marshall County, and his longtime four-legged loyal companion, Chief.
Cous was born in Frankfort and graduated from Franklin County High School. He moved to western Kentucky where he attended Murray State University. He later graduated from West Kentucky Community and Technical College. Cous was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 816.
Cous’ love of the outdoors – especially fishing, and his family roots led him to choose Paducah as home.
Cous’ enthusiasm for life could be felt by everyone. His infectious smile and sense of humor brought joy to all those who loved him. He was a kind and generous soul.
Cous made the world a better place.
Favorite pastimes included grilling and smoking meat – which he often shared. If you couldn’t find him beside his grill, chances are he was wetting a line or cheering on the UK Wildcats.
He is survived by his mother Margaret Doyle and sister Tracey Doyle, both of Frankfort. Other survivors include his aunts and uncles: Thelma McIntosh of Paducah, Ernie McClees of Louisville, Dorothy and Tom Wightman of Arlington, Texas, and Marilyn Doyle-Keys of Louisville; numerous cousins; and many friends.
Everyone who remembers Cous is asked to celebrate his life in their own way; raising a glass of their favorite beverage in his memory would be quite appropriate, as would enjoying nature. We request in lieu of flowers or donations, you do an unexpected act of kindness in Cous’ honor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History. The service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Following the service (2:30 p.m.) there will be an informal visitation.
