CHARLES C. PALMER
Charles C. Palmer, 82, passed away in Georgetown on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
Born in Warren County on February 10, 1934, Mr. Palmer served for over 30 years in the Army and Army National Guard, serving during the Cuban Crisis and retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was a member of Friendship Christian Church, the Frankfort Lions Club, and was a 53-year member of Hiram Lodge #4 F&AM.
Mr. Palmer is survived by two grandsons, Steven Charles Palmer and James Michael Palmer, and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jean Mitchell Palmer, and his daughter, Teresa Ann Palmer-Powell.
Services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Friday with visitation preceding at 10:00 a.m. The lodge will open at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. with a Masonic funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Rev. Bert Patterson will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Steven Palmer, Michael Palmer, William Cannon, Adam Johnson, Murray Parrish, and Paul Ryan.
Honorary bearers will be Harold Cannon, Derek Ellis, and James Broughton.
Contributions in Mr. Palmer's memory are suggested to the Frankfort Lions Club, 308 Ann Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
