Obituary of Françoise Jones Moseley

Services for Françoise Margaret Priscilla Jones Moseley, 69, of Frankfort will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 17th at the Church of the Ascension (Episcopal), 311 Washington Street, with burial following in the Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, KY. She was a graduate of Harborfields High School, Greenlawn, NY. In 1969 she graduated from Stratford College, Danville, VA. She taught in the Fluvanna County School System in Virginia and at Anderson County Middle School, and Anderson County High School, Lawrenceburg, KY. In addition to teaching, Françoise Moseley also coordinated and hosted Foreign Exchange Students through the A.S.S.E. student exchange program, and tutored at the Thornhill Learning Center, Frankfort, KY. When she wasn't working as an educator, Francoise was an avid artist and craftswoman, who passionately enjoyed painting, sketching, basket weaving, quilting, and knitting. Of course, her true passion in life was spending time with her family, laughing, and loving the myriad of cats, and other pets, that she welcomed into her home. Françoise Moseley was born March 20, 1947 in New York City, NY. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Edward Jones, her mother Jacqueline Marthe Cathelin Jones who passed away in February of this year, and her husband of thirty five years, John Frank Moseley. She is survived by two sisters, Colette Jones and Monique Turner and her husband H. Dixon Turner; one Brother, Richard Jones and his wife Marianne Jones; two sons, Justin Moseley and Ethan Moseley and his wife LaToya Moseley; three granddaughters, Amara Carter, Ava Moseley, and Aubri Moseley; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Richard Jones (NY), H. Dixon Turner (NH), Justin Moseley, Ethan Moseley, Robbie Buntain, Brandon Bridges (TX), Abe Halliburton, and Phillip Broomall. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Moseley (CT), Marc Moseley (MA), Bryce Turner (CA), and Richard Jones Jr (NY). The family would also like to thank Crystal Williams, who helped provide care for Françoise Moseley. Friends may call at Rogers Funeral Home, Frankfort, KY from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16th. A Life Celebration Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Church of the Ascension in Frankfort, KY.
