Obituary of Glenn Stamper

Glenn Stamper, son of Harlan and Mae, died Sunday from cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Martha Jo; and three sisters, Frankie, Faye, and Helen. He is survived by his three sons, Jeff (Carol), Mark (Jane), and Eric (Tracy). He also leaves seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Glenn was a strong believer in the importance of supporting our community. He served as President as well as Vice President of the local chapter of the United Way, and was a member of the Kentucky State University athletic booster club. After starting his own company, he sponsored athletic teams in many different recreational leagues.
Services will be held at Rogers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, with visitation preceding at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name are appreciated to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of the Bluegrass, or the charity of your choice.
