The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on October 15, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church followed by interment in the Frankfort Cemetery, for John H. Glenn, age 96, who passed away peacefully on September 13, 2016, in Hospice Care at Palm Coast, Florida.
A native of Frankfort, he was retired from the Kentucky Cabinet of Finance and Administration where he held the position of Branch Manager of the Surplus Property and Inventory Branch. In 2011 he moved to Palm Coast, Florida to be near his daughter.
John was preceded in death by his parents John Joe Glenn and Ida Terhune Glenn; his brother James Glenn (Kay); his beloved wife of 52 years, Nettie Henry Glenn; and his daughter, Marianne Glenn Baker.
He is survived by his sister, Peggy Glenn Masden (Donald) of Clermont, Fl; his daughter, Elizabeth Glenn Milton (Charles) of Palm Coast, Fl; his grandson James Baker (Dena) and great-grandsons Cameron and Zachary, of Fisher, IN; grandson Thomas Baker (Mihoko) and great-granddaughters Ayumi and Kanami, of Tokyo, Japan; grandson Michael Baker (Anne) and great-granddaughter Laure and great-grandson Drew, of Louisville, KY; grandson Geoffrey Milton of Atlanta, GA; grandson Gregory Milton of Palm Coast, FL, and grandson Glenn Milton of North Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Charities, Good Shepherd Church, and the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL, 32164.
