I am so very sorry for your loss. Words are not adequate to express the depth of my sorrow. Bob was my friend for more than 30 years. He was one of the kindest, most caring men I ever knew. He loved his sons so very much. He is missed.

i had the pleasure of serving with Bob on the PUSH (People Understanding Special Handicaps) Board here in Frankfort. He was a dedicated Board member, always offering quiet yet thoughtful counsel and a genuine, easy smile. His integrity was second to none. I also had the privilege of sharing a love for running with Bob, crossing downtown routes frequently giving us the opportunity to share a few words. Those who had their lives touched by him in any capacity are truly enriched. Thankfully, I am among those with that proud privilege.

I am so saddened to hear of the loss of my old friend Bobby. We went to school together from 7th grade on through high school. We had so many good times and I always look back on those days as the best of my life. My prayers go out to the family during this time. Rest In Peace my friend. My God bless your family and give them peace. I love you!
Your friend,
Lynn (Whitaker) Ellis

Bob was one of the most quietly virtuous men I have ever known. He deeply loved and cared for his family, enjoyed a dry sense of humor, and was a most loyal, loving husband to my sister, Gloria. He would do anything asked of him without complaining, and tasked he was, with so many responsibilities. I many times wondered how he managed to keep his smile with the challenges that he faced when he learned that Gloria was ill and that Michael would need special care throughout his life. He awakened early each morning so he could return home early after working a full day to help take care of Michael. He and Mike had a special bond. He had a great love for Tyler, and was very proud of him as he very recently commented to me what a mature good man his son had become. I know the partnership he had with his Mother in caring for Mike was one of love and gratitude. He could not have handled these responsibilities without you, Peggy. I will forever be indebted to my "brother" for his loving care of my mother, Marcella. She looked forward to each of the many visits he made to Paducah, bringing chicken dinners, and completing any necessary tasks at hand for which she needed his help. We will all miss you more than you could ever realize, Bob. You will be forever in our hearts.

To the family of Bob Whittaker.........
I knew Bob from working with him at the Labor Cabinet. Bob was a quiet man but had a wonderful way of telling a story or a joke that made you really want to laugh. When it came to work, there was no one that could beat Bob's loyalty to the Labor Cabinet and its mission. He was a generous and loyal man and had many friends here at Labor. I'm proud to have known him and worked with him. God's blessings to all of the family.
