JULIUS "NAT" TURNER
Julius "Nat" Turner, 84, of Frankfort, KY, died on January 31, 2017 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Nat was born August 7, 1932 in Woodford County, KY to the late Asa and Ethel May Mitchell Turner. He was a graduate of Georgetown College and married Judith Wilson of Hemmingway, SC on July 5, 1961. A veteran of the Korean War, Nat was employed by R.J. Reynolds for 35 years and was an avid fisherman and loving father and husband.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith Wilson Turner, Frankfort; sons Jeffrey Turner (Nicola), St. Paul, MN and Jonathan Turner (Mary-Margaret), Frankfort; granddaughter Catelin Turner; grandsons Matthew, David, Jakob, Elijah, and Abram Pollard; as well as numerous cousins and extended family. Nat was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and beloved border collie, Luke.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Rogers Funeral Home. Private burial will be held in the Frankfort Cemetery with Rev. Steve Pace conducting services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nat's memory may be made to Capital Day School, Franklin County Humane Society, South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, or the charity of your choice.
