Obituary of Myra Duvall Schuster

Myra Duvall Schuster died February 5, 2017. The daughter of the late Woodson Duvall, Sr. and Ivy Armstrong Duvall, she was born August 6, 1926 on the farm where she grew up. Myra graduated from Peaks Mill School and Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She worked as a surgical floor nurse for 40 years and upon retirement volunteered at Frankfort Regional Medical Center for over 20 years. As both an employee and volunteer, she received several awards for exemplary service. Myra was also a tireless lifelong volunteer at Good Shepherd Church and her Church Family was important and dear to her. Myra was preceded in death by her husband Edward Schuster, her daughter Margaret Oliveira, granddaughter Amy Katherine Bugg and brothers Woodson, Jr. and Charles Duvall. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Thompson (Perry), Laura Schuster, Sarah Nash (Keith), Kathy Wright (Bill), Patricia Bugg (Wayne), and Betty Meziere (Ed). Also surviving are her grandchildren Tracy Howard (Charlie), Jared Wright (Maria), Elizabeth Deese (Lee), Bryan and Emily Bugg, Joseph Oliveira, Mark and Cam Meziere, great grandchildren Elijah, Jackson and Kane and siblings Marjorie Duvall, Mary Games and Graham Duvall (Anita). Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 4-6 pm, followed by recitation of the Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10 am with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Myra's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
