Obituary of Jason Powell

Jason Vivian Douglas Powell, 41, of Frankfort, died Friday, May 5, 2017. Born August 28, 1975 in Madison, Indiana, he was the husband of Lydia Reynolds Powell and the father of Abigail Powell. He was a veteran of the Unites States Air Force.

Jason was predeceased by twin sons Corbin and Garrett, and a brother, Otis Joe Povaleri.

Along with his wife and daughter, Jason is also survived by his dad David; mom Sally; sisters Julie Clark and Megan (Bob) Larkin; and brothers J.D. (Betty) and Robby (Betsy). He loved playing with his nieces and nephews Jordan, Reese, Reagan, and Andrew Powell, Alicia, Kyle, and Samantha Stites, and Brandon and Adam Talley. Also mourning his loss are his in-laws, Tom and Patty Reynolds and David and Kate Talley.

Jason was a gregarious, fun-loving man who loved the corniest jokes and most involved stories. He enjoyed whitewater kayaking, camping, his dogs, creating a top-notch playlist, and being the life of the party. His big heart and big laugh will be missed.

Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, and from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday. A casual, come-as-you-are storytelling session will be held at the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, followed by a meal and gathering for family and friends at the Larimore Farm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to American Whitewater, the March of Dimes, or the SPCA of Cincinnati.
