Obituary of Annie Carter
Annie Bryan Carter, 92, widow of Wilburn Carter, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
Born in Frankfort on March 16, 1926, Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Pearl Parrent Bryan and Ben Marshall Bryan. A graduate of Good Shepherd High School, she had retired from work as a bookkeeper for the Franklin County Senior Citizens Center and was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Mrs. Carter is survived by a daughter, Eleanor C. Dade (Jagjit); four sons, Brad, Clyde (Wanda), Joe (Donna), and John (Tammy) Carter; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret B. Gortney, and seven brothers, Philip, Dick, Jack, Joe, Edward, Benny, and Overton Bryan.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 12:00 pm Monday with visitation preceding at 10:30 am. Burial will take place in the Frankfort Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clyde Carter, Joe Carter, John Carter, Scott Carter, Chris Doane, and Russ Carter.
Honorary bearers will be Shawn Dade, George Rufra, Patrick Clark, Christian Carter, Will Carter, Will Cummins, and Drew Carter.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Carter's memory are suggested to the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Franklin County Senior Activity Center, or Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice).
