2 Corinthians 1:3,4 gives us the assurance that "the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies" is "the God of all comfort" and he "comforts us in all our trials." James 5:11; God "is very tender in affection ["very compassionate"] and merciful." Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)

Dear Sheila and Family: Please know how sorry I am to hear of the passing of your father. It feels so unfair that death should have such power and control over our lives....it seems to steal the ones we love the most, leaving us grief stricken and in pain. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold our loved one is one of the most difficult things to bear. And just being told that our loved one is in heaven, does not erase the pain we feel or the loss we live with..... The pain I felt when I loss my parents was finally soothed when I learned of the true hope contained only in the Holy Bible. At Acts 24:15 it says: "And I have hope toward God,…. that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." We know that this resurrection will bring these ones back to life on earth because there are no "unrighteous" ones in heaven....Imagine that, a resurrection, a bringing back to life, here on earth, just as Jesus Christ himself demonstrated! (John chapter 11)..... This is the hope that has soothed my pain of loss I carried around with me for years.....It is my hope it can provide comfort to you and yours as well.

Sending my love, prayers, and spiritual support to the entire family! I was blessed to be included as part of the family during my young adult years. Mr. Semones (aka Papaw) was a gentle giant. He had a great sense of humor and would keep you laughing talking about others. He was an honorable man. I'm so glad that God made room for him over in Heaven with Mrs. Barbara Semones. No more pain, no more forgetful days. You will be missed sir!
