Obituary of Sarah M. Shearer

Sarah Moore Shearer, 80, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019.

Born in Franklin County on July 23, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Forest B. and Leilah Newman Moore and the widow of the late Hugh R. Shearer, Sr. She is survived by her children, Hugh Jr., Carol Saylor, Charles, and Gregory; siblings Trudy Laing and Herman Moore; grandchildren Abigail Shearer, Sarah Cummins, Christopher Knoer, and Celeste Shearer; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Blackburn, Tonky, Roger, and Patricia.

A graveside service will be held in the Frankfort Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Flowers are welcomed while memorial contributions are suggested to the Franklin County Humane Society.
