Andy and his wife Joan made their home part of the year in Palmetto, Florida, where Andy continued to enjoy the outdoor life of gardening, fishing, and kayaking. They returned to their Tennessee home for more lake time at Dale Hollow Lake in the summers. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Joan Daniels Griffith; two sisters, Anne Griffith Rogers and Libby Griffith Taylor (Tim); his three children from a previous marriage with Judy Sutton Hartweck (Herman): Laurie Rose Griffith (Peter Mealy) of Fredericksburg, Va., Robin Gail Griffith Glass of Shelbyville, Ky., and Graham Andrew Griffith (Brooke Shireman) of Cold Springs, Ky.; four grandchildren, Andrew Glass (Rachel), Daniel Glass (Baylee), Adrian Griffith-Mealy, and Rosalie Griffith-Mealy; sister-in-law Martha Kay McDaniel (L.I.); mother-in-law Kathleen Daniels; nephews David Rogers (Elaine), Mark Rogers, Scott Rogers, Todd Rogers, T.J.
