Mrs. Maxine Hannibal was my HS English teacher (Class of 1985). She taught me how to write exemplary papers and challenged my intellect at an early age. She never allowed me to be mediocre in her class because she said I had more to offer. I am truly grateful that God allowed her to pour so much in me and that I was willing to be receptive. My deepest condolences to her family. She was a Phenomenal Lady...she will be truly missed.

We loved her at NDHS. I remember her being a part of our 1997 prom making sure all went well. She did not play but we knew she loved us!!! She will forever be in our hearts and memories. Praying God’s peace and comfort rests on heart of her family. Sonia Slade

Maxine was an exemplary educator and staunch supporter of teacher developer initiatives. She and I socialized with some wonderful people, The Dunbars, the Boyds and the Landrys.
Her comedic side was without peer and she delighted in being the loving wife of her husband. Her absolute joy remain her children.

Ms. Hannibal you were one of my favorite teachers at North Division H.S. ( class of 1986), you made coming to English Class fun and exciting, you knew i was shy and quiet but you would often call on me to read out aloud and answer questions, at the time i didnt understand why, but later i realize you were bringing me out my shell.Thank you Ms.Hannibal i appreciate you, peace and love your former student Matthew Stewart.
